Laus Deo

I thought this might just be an urban legend, so I checked it out on Snopes.com and here is what I found:

It's really very interesting and is yet another piece of evidence that shows we are, in fact, a Christian nation.

Oh brother. A artist donating a piece of work hardly constitutes endorsement of xianity by our FF. In many circles people think under god was always in the pledge and in god we trust always on paper currency but being misinformed of what some people do does not make this a xian country. As no official document has any mention of god, jesus, the bible or xianity I acknowledge the fact our FF were secularists and created a secular nation where people could believe in any or no god. The only document you will find xianity mentioned is the Treaty of Tripoli where President Adams signed off saying "the USA is not in any sense founded on the xian religion"

LOL TX....

TX do you claim that none of the bible is true? That's its all mythology and none of what's written can be proven? Or just some parts that collaborate with a secular document?

There are tribes/people and places in the bible that existed. None of the supernatural can shown to be true. (It is still mythology by classification)

Who classifies it as mythology? Secularists? Scientists? Secular academia? Does this then make it mythology across the board for everyone to accept is as such?

I've never seen an official answer to who exactly has classified the bible as mythology. The church of course isn't going to do it. So this leaves secularists. Are there University panels that have come out and OFFICIALLY declared "the Bible is nothing but mythology?" Are there scientific experts that have publicly declared this?

I haven't found any sources. So this leaves me to believe that the mythology classification is something atheists WISH was official and try to convince themselves it is and want others to believe it is. This is why they use intimidating language such as "you're scientifically illiterate" and "I guess you need an imaginary friend" if you believe and God and do not embrace the God-free intellectualism running rampant everywhere. If you don't do that, they'll make damn certain you pay either personally, politically or academically.

The actual person to discover this Washington Monumental revisionism was a pastor out in California. His whole story with photos can be read at www.lacconline.org Apparently he is also Chuck Norris' pastor--who went with him over to Iraq recently.

I'm not surprised it has been revised over and over to try and take God out, then put Him back again, as if you could really DO that! Who are these people kidding????

Kudos to Chuck Norris for going to Iraq. More of Hollywood needs to get out of the plastic surgery vanity clinics and out there supporting our servicemen where they can do some actual good for society.
